1. Keep your garbage bag from slipping inside with this simple trick.
Attach Command hooks to the outside of your trash can. Use these to keep your bag in place and prevent it from slipping inside when it begins to fill with trash.
2. Save time by keeping a few bags at the bottom of your trash can.
Keep a roll of trash bags in the bottom of your can to save time and make it easier to replace when needed.
3. Add wheels to your trash can to make it more accessible.
Add wheels to the bottom of your trash can so that it can be mobile thus allowing you to easily move it around the kitchen when you need it.
4. Rehab a dresser into a hidden trash can storage unit.

You can transform an old dresser into a hidden garbage can storage unit. This is a a great way to keep your trash can out of plain sight.
5. Place a dryer sheet at the bottom of your can to keep it smelling fresh.
Dryer sheets work wonderfully to deodorize bad smells, so to keep your trash can smelling great all the time place a 1-2 sheets at the bottom of your trash can under the liner. Make sure to replace every time you take out the trash!
6. Drill holes near the base of your trash to release suction.
Taking out the trash can be annoying when the bag gets stuck when trying to pull it out of the can. You can simply drill 3-4 holes about 2 inches from the bottom to release suction and make it easier to remove a full trash bag on trash day.
7. Line your trash can with old newspaper to prevent leaks.
Don’t you just hate when your trash bag accidentally rip and leak leaving a mess at the bottom of the can? To prevent this from happening in the future, simply place a few pages of newspaper at the bottom as this will absorb moisture and any leaks.
