Spray cooking spray or WD-40 on the key hole and cracks of your doors as this will prevent ice from sticking and freezing your doors shut.

When parking you car at night, make sure to park it facing east as this is where the sun rises and will melt the ice from your windshield in the mornings.
Cover your side mirrors with plastic bags
Spray each side mirror lightly with cooking oil and cover with a plastic bag as this will prevent your mirrors from frosting over during the night.
Make homemade window de-icer with rubbing alcohol
Fill a spray bottle with 1/3 of water and the rest with 70% Isopropyl alcohol. Keep a bottle in the house and car as this be can be a cheap and effective way to quickly get rid of ice on your car windshield and windows.

Use shaving cream
