So, I decided to give my kitchen cabinets a mini makeover and I’m so excited to share the results with you guys!
My kitchen cabinets are extremely small so I wanted to create more space in them by decluttering and organizing it in a way that I know where everything is.

Before
Step #1: Remove everything and clean.
The first step to the decluttering process is to remove everything from your kitchen cabinets. I did this so I would be able to see how much space I had to work with also to make it easier to clean.
I made a cleaning solution of 2 cups of water, 2 tablespoons of white vinegar and a squirt of Palmolive dish detergent to clean the inside of my kitchen cabinets.
Step #2: Check expiration dates. Remove/ Donate items you no longer need.
Finding out that I had several expired canned goods in my cabinet was very surprising! I decided to remove those items immediately and also to donate the things I no longer needed.
Step #3: Gather supplies.
I purchased my supplies from Walmart. I spent less than $30 for everything.
Step #4: Remove standalone items from bulky boxes.
To save space, I decided to get rid of as many boxes as I could. So I removed items such as my daughter’s baby food pouches, tea and coffee from their bulky boxes.
Step #5: Sort and organize.
Using the bins and baskets I purchased from Walmart. I sorted all of my items by type. I placed heavier bins on the bottom shelf of my kitchen cabinets and the lighter items at the top.
Step #6: Accessorize!
I thought it would be nice to accessorize my kitchen a little to give it a little bit more personality. So I used small decorative items and to place on top of the microwave which also doubled as storage for a few of my tea and coffee pods.
